Administrative Services:

Companies with Employee Retirement Plans, large and small alike, often feel frustrated by the tedious administrative requirements. At Walker & Associates, we use our years of experience and knowledge to relieve our clients of these concerns by providing administrative services for Employee Retirement Plans.

Here are the services we provide…

We handle IRS testing requirements.

Some popular plan types require ADP testing, ACP tests, top-heavy formulas, etc. Employers may find these tests difficult to accomplish and challenging to understand.

We handle the forms, reports and statements.

There’s a long list of these: Safe Harbor Notices, Participant Distribution Elections, Special Tax Notices, Beneficiary Designations, Salary Reduction Agreements, and many more.

We keep your plan up-to-date with changing IRS regulations.

The law requires that your plan remain in compliance with IRS standards to ensure equal and fair treatment for all employees. Distribution regulations change, contribution guidelines vary and special provisions are added. We keep you informed and help you keep your plan up-to-date.

We provide you with day-to-day answers and assistance with the array of employee questions about retirement plans.

Your concerns are our only interest. Walker & Associates is an accounting firm, not an investment firm, brokerage firm or insurance company. We don’t sell securities or insurance or earn commissions from sales. Our sole interest is helping our clients comply with government guidelines and realize the maximum amount of benefit from their employee benefit plan.

Employee Benefit Plan Audits:

The Department of Labor (DOL) requires that all employers with more than 100 eligible plan participants and certain smaller plans conduct employee benefit plan (EBP) audits on an annual basis. The audits are intended to ensure that your EBP is compliant with DOL rules. It also assures plan participants that your plan is being administered in an unbiased, fair manner. These audits protect the employer from inadvertent errors that could cause embarrassment to the company, or worse.

Employee Benefit Plans are not a sideline for us; they are a major part of our practice.

For over 20 years, we have helped employers set up, administer and audit their employee benefit plans. We are familiar with plans of all types and the unique requirements of each of them.

This in-depth experience enables us to handle EBP audits with complete confidence and accuracy. Our familiarity with Department of Labor (DOL) rules helps ensure that your auditing process moves swiftly and efficiently, while meeting all government requirements. As a member of the AICPA’s Employee Benefit Plan Quality Audit Center, our firm demonstrates its commitment to the highest audit standards.

Most of the EBP audits are completed on-site with minimum disruption of day-to-day company activities. Not only will you receive an accurate, reliable audit from Walker & Associates, but also you will be kept aware of any changes in DOL or IRS rules that could affect your plan throughout the plan year.
