Brian Pierce, CPA, CFP® - Partner

In 1985, the year Dan Walker founded Walker & Associates, Brian began his career in public accounting after graduating from North Georgia College & State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. In 2014, he, Dan and Wayne decided to form Walker, Pierce & Tuck, P.C. to better serve the clients they had developed over many years.

In the early years of his career, Brian worked for local CPA firms in both Gainesville and Atlanta. Shortly after becoming a CPA, he passed the Certified Financial Planner® exam and was one of the first in Northeast Georgia to hold this designation. He became the tax manager of a local firm in Gainesville before starting his own CPA practice in 1995. Since then, he has been very involved in the Northeast Georgia community by serving on the boards of numerous charitable organizations including being the Treasurer for Choices Pregnancy Care Center since 1995. He and his family are active members of Lakewood Baptist Church in Gainesville.

With his 39 years of experience in public accounting, Brian serves as the Managing Partner for the firm. His primary duties are in business development, problem solving and staying on top of the ever changing tax laws that affect the firm’s clients. He oversees the firm’s system of quality control and coordinates the firm’s Peer Review every three years.  He serves clients in a broad range of industries: small business, medical, construction and transportation. He specializes in all areas of taxation and financial planning.

Professionally, Mr. Pierce is a member of the AICPA, Georgia Society of CPA’s and the AICPA Tax Section. Away from the office, he enjoys golfing, mountain biking, traveling with his wife and spending time with his 14 grandchildren. He has also coached several basketball teams for Middle and High School girls.
